My Husband, I and our one year old daughter just moved into our two bedroom apartment yesterday. It was my Husband's birthday so I made him a dinner and cake after a long two days of moving in. We are not professional movers so we placed our boxes and belongings however, one on top of the other in the area of the apartment where we will not use for a while which is the dining area. I had 48 hours to write a list of damage and review of the apartment. Main damage was dents, cracks and scratches on the walls, doors, ceiling, floor and trimming. The carpet (the carpet is everywhere except for the kitchen, laundry area and the bathroom.) had a few stains in understandable places such as the dining area, it was covered in hair and had some kind of animal droppings. There are some black spots on the cabinets by the sink in the kitchen. Obviously from the water while washing dishes. The front door was extremely loose and did not close correctly. The balcony door knob is upside-down. The bathroom tub is rusted and the shower head has mold. All understandable damage and not a complete bother to me. The only work order my husband and I put in was for the front door to be fixed, the shower head and pest control. On the first day that we are officially living in this apartment maintenance was sent to fix several things that we did not put a work order in for. Our apartment was also inspected. The manager called us to say we have only 7 days to unpack, clean and remove our belongings off the carpet so they can thoroughly inspect the apartment AGAIN. This happened on the very first day that we moved in. This is our second time renting with San Pedro apartments. They were rude when we went into the office to give our 60 days notice before our lease was up but quickly changed their attitude when we decided to rent another apartment. The first apartment was a one bedroom. The upstairs fire sprinkler was damaged at some point of living there and was dripping water through the ceiling and ruined our belongings. We were told that the holes in the walls made by maintenance was to be fixed the next day. It was over 2 months that the holes were in our wall and one hole was even left open after they finally came by to fix it. I complained twice with a work order because flies we're coming in through the holes and they only listened the second time when I had to raise my voice. The first day we moved into our first apartment here I put in a work order to have a bee/wasp hive removed from our bedroom window. It is still there today. I went into the office to complain about animal droppings in the pool. The pool was not thoroughly cleaned and resulted in a visit to my doctor for an ear infection that also had infected my throat and nasal cavity. I have walked by the pool several times to see if it had been cleaned and it is still dirty. There are several other outside damages including some on the sidewalk and the childrens playground equipment. We have stray animals around the complex and a rat infestation by the dumpster where I have seen trash and boxes left out on the street because it is too full. I made another work order (several times) for the sink and the dishwasher in our first apartment. I wasn't able to wash my dishes because the drain was clogged and the dispenser wasn't working. It never got fixed. Sink flies/gnats were multiplying. When our lease was up we were told that the apartment needed to be inspected for approval of living in another apartment here at San Pedro Apartments. Obviously we got the approval but again during the time of inspection I complained about the sink three weeks in advance of our moving day so I could be able to wash our dishes. I put another work order in and it was not fixed. We moved to our next apartment with dirty dishes. Yesterday the manager complained with a rude tone that it looked to be......
